Terms of Use

Last updated September 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Athlon — the web app at athlon.health, the iOS app, and the API behind them — operated by JC Technologies LLC. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Athlon.

Athlon is not medical advice

This is the most important thing on this page. Athlon organizes training data and uses AI to suggest workouts, paces, and recovery-aware adjustments. It is a fitness tool, not a medical device, and nothing it produces is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The health figures Athlon shows — recovery scores, sleep, heart rate, biomarker readings, body composition — come from consumer wearables, apps, and documents you upload. They can be wrong, stale, or mis-attributed. Do not use them to make medical decisions.

Talk to a qualified clinician before starting or changing a training program, and especially if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, taking medication, or recovering from injury. If you feel faint, short of breath, or have chest pain during exercise, stop and seek medical attention. You train at your own risk.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 to use Athlon.
  • You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Use a passkey or a strong unique password.
  • Provide accurate information. Impersonating someone else is not allowed.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Connected services

Athlon reads and writes data through services you choose to connect — Strava, Hevy, WHOOP, Runna, Spotify, Google Calendar, and Apple Health among them. Each has its own terms, and your use of them is governed by those terms, not these.

Athlon is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these providers. They can change or withdraw their APIs at any time, which may break a feature without warning. You can disconnect any provider from Settings.

AI features

Athlon’s coach uses large language models to generate plans, summaries, and answers grounded in your training data. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken. Review anything it produces before acting on it — particularly generated training plans, intensity targets, and anything touching health data.

You keep ownership of the content you put into Athlon and of the plans generated for you. Do not paste other people’s private information into the chat.

Contributions you make to the Explore map — places, edits, confirmations, reviews and crowd reports — are shared with other users. You grant us a licence to display, aggregate and moderate them, and we may remove content that breaks these terms or that other users report. Places you add stay on the map if you delete your account, with no link to you.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or upload content you have no right to.
  • Attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
  • Resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product from its outputs.
  • Abuse connected-provider APIs through Athlon in ways their terms forbid.

We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things.

Availability and changes

Athlon is provided as-is and as-available. There is no uptime guarantee, and features may change or be removed. We may modify or discontinue the service; if we discontinue it, you will be able to export or delete your data first.

Disclaimer and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Athlon is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data or AI output will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or personal injury arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
